Totally Cool

I am way stoked. What?
Someone finally answered my prayers. Every single drop of Twin Peaks will now be in one location for purchase. The madness has finally come to an end. You can get your season one, you can get your season two, and you can get your European pilot episode all in one box. 10 DVDs. Looks like “Twin Peaks – The Definitive Gold Box Edition” will be available October 30th. I can hardly wait. I’ll be first in line. I need to do some more reading on the release of the set when I get a spare moment.

I have really been enjoying my figure drawing sessions. I have been 3 times so far and plan on continuing. Here’s a link to the studio I have been going to. You guys should join me there one of these times. It is so fun, relaxing, heartbreaking, up lifting and difficult all at the same time. I have been sweating bullets a time or two, sure that I couldn’t possibly draw, and that I totally sucked. I kept the charcoal on the paper though, worked my way through it and got something down on the paper. Oh my. It really just boils down to drawing for me. That’s all life is truly about. Primitive marks scribbled down using primitive tools.

I have to get to work now creating complex marks with hi-tech tools.
Oh yeah, and I’m not supposed to be looking at the internets while at the office.
Whoops.

back to work K!

Yep K is heading back to work today. Poor little dear. She has a week of teacher stuff and then the kids arrive the day after Labor Day.
I think she had herself a pretty rad summer break though so lets not feel too sad for her.

Things are chugging along.

Today it’s a Monday the way the gods intended my Mondays to be. K at work, puppies at doggy daycare, and me at the compound with just the cat. I should totally kick out the jams and get a butt load of work done. Lots to do. I’ll probably ease into it slowly though. Maybe go take a nap after I’m done writing this post.

I have a lot of chores to take care of today. Argh!

We had a pretty fun time over in La Pine this last weekend. We attended the wedding of Amanda and Ari. Two little cuties for sure. Thanks for inviting the Noodles. They got married in Western Town.
I enjoyed seeing Officer Steve and family.
K and I camped out in the back of our new car to see how that would work. Not so much for me. Works well for someone a tad shorter though (K).

I watched a couple of movies that I had been meaning to see. We saw “300″ and “Inland Empire”. Both were pretty sweet.

300 was just okay actually. Absolutely gorgeous to look at though.

Inland Empire was awesome. It felt so good to be watching a new David Lynch film!
I went at this one in a good head space by telling myself before it began that I should just relax and not worry if any of it makes sense or not because it won’t.
If you get the fact that it isn’t supposed to make sense and is like a dream then you’ll really enjoy Inland Empire.

Alright, well, I’ve got to get to it.

Summer is nearing it’s end isn’t it?

pick up the pace dude! Sheeesh!

Gosh. Hey there. Long time no write huh?
How’s it going? I need to be more attentive of this here journal yes? Get up and going with the more frequenting postings.

Oh I hate blogging about blogging so I’ll stop now.

Ah yes. It’s Monday. It’s raining.

Oh and yes we are back from our Arizona vacation. It was quite fun and relaxing. Vacationing is awesome. I wish we could do it all the time.
I posted a stack of photos up on the Noodle Flickr page if you would like to look at images from our trip.

It was 110 degrees the last two days we were in Arizona before leaving. That’s pretty darn hot! That’s what we wanted though. To see what it was like in Mr. Baptist’s neck of the woods when it was warm. They showed us. On one of the 110 days K and I went for a swim in a pool and were disgusted by the not refreshing, soup water.

We are back now to the normal routine. Work and home.
K is heading back to work in a week I think. School’s almost back in session kids! Wrap up that summer fun and get back to business.

I have got to make a list.
I am feeling a tad overwhelmed. I have all of this stuff I want to do and I don’t feel like I am doing any of it.
I am getting fidgety in my noggin.
Maybe if I had a list of goals, plans and tasks down on paper I would be more calm. Something to look at.
There’s a lot going on.
Am I stuffing too much in? Should I chill a bit and cut my desired schemes down to just one or two?
Better to be doing at least one thing instead of just thinking about six things right?

It didn’t take me too long to wind back up after my relaxing vacation did it?

Take some deep breaths, Noodle.

Welcome to Air-EE-zone-UH!

hey there.
Through the powers of the internets I am now able to type in this here journal while sitting inside a house located in a desert in Arizona. Spooky huh?

Yep. The lovely K and I have taken a road trip with Mr. Baptist and are now vacationing once again at Solar Haven. Remember when we were here last time? Looks like that was way back in December 2006. Not too long ago. It is MUCH hotter here now than it was back then. Thermometer outside says 100 degrees right now. It’s not too uncomfortable though. I have a nice cold Miller High Life with me.

So far we are having a pretty nice vacation. On our way through California we went and saw my grandparents in Roseville and stopped in and saw K’s grandfather in San Jose. Making the rounds. It was nice seeing the grandfolks.

It has been a good trip. I am feeling really relaxed. I am having flashbacks to the olden days when we went on our family vacations to California as a wee tike. I think those may be my fondest childhood memories.

I am not use to typing on Mr. Baptist’s computer. Please bear with the typos.

This may be the last trip I ever take without bringing a computer. I kept getting it all during the road trip. “Why didn’t you bring your computer?” “If you would have brought your computer we could have already checked into a motel!” “If you had your computer we could have found the cheapest place to buy gas in Needles California”.
Come on. I wanted to take a vacation from typing and computing so that my wrists, arms and hands could take a break and stop hurting!

These are the days huh? Ubiquitous computing is pretty much here.

Alright, that’s it for now. The heat is causing my feet to swell. I’ve got to take my sandles off and get another beer.

summer hold steady

Good morning to you friends!
It’s a tad grey out there this morning isn’t it? Will there be rain in our future?

I sure hate to bring this up, but I have been noticing that it has been staying darker longer in the morning. The Sun has been taking longer to get up. Does that mean that fall is around the corner? Oh man! That’s horrible. Stop that talk!
It’s really only the end of the middle of summer right?
We have lots more summer fun in store I’m sure.

There’s a few adventures in the works. Some schemes simmering in the end of the middle sunlight.
WINK WINK…

Hey what has everybody been up to? I’m sure it has only been a week since we have hung, but it seems like we haven’t seen some of you in forever. Have we all been hunkered down in our hovels?
I’m sure our summer fun will pick up momentarily. We’ll see each other soon.

A and S are coming back to town to live forever I hear. That will be fun to see them when they get here.
It would be nice to go camping at least one more time, if not two during the next couple of months.

Maybe head off to the beach. We need to get over to Waldport again soon.

I need to start taking some photos and get my Flickr page more up to date.

I have been pretty sleepy this whole week. I haven’t been sleeping very well. I think it’s starting to show. I’m doing weird things like writing nonsensical blog posts.
I’ve felt spacey the last couple of days at the office.

Hey, the weekend is here now though! I’ll get some sleep then.
