come on dude! SLEEP!

Friday 9 March 2012 - Filed under baby + G NOODLE + Littler Noodle + poetry + writing

Little Jon Jon kept us awake again last night. He just wouldn’t go to sleep. He was squirming around. Occasionally crying. He wasn’t really fussy. Just not sleeping. Our working theory is that he is teething.

Oh and G man was still feeling sick and coughy. He woke up a couple of times in the middle of the night.

That feeling of having the clock tick down while you’re trying to keep your eyes closed is insane. “Well. I’m not sleeping. Another hour just clicked by.” Wait. What do digital clocks do? Electric hum? They don’t click do they? Oh I kind of like the idea of it electrically sizzling to the next number. The clock sizzled down the hours.

I didn’t sleep very much. I was like a zombie for most of the day at work. Oh wait. Did I ride the bus this morning? Oh yes I did. That’s right. A poem came to me while I was in my funky not slept have asleep zombie monster state on the bus. I managed to get it constructed and tapped into my freaky state to give the poem some zest. I did it for another writing prompt I got from a website. I am going to sit on this one for a couple of days before I submit it. Maybe see if it makes any sense after I get some rest. I think it’s a pretty good poem so far but I would like it to flow a bit smoother. It’s a rhyming poem too. That’s something.

Yeah. Who knows.

It was fairly quiet on the internet front today. Well, I guess my friends and family venues were pretty quiet. Not much email traffic and not a lot of staus updating. Not much of anything interesting in Facebookville. I spent a brief amount of time in Twitterland today. There’s always something going on there. What have you guys been up to?

I know there’s been some hard times for several of you. It’s impossible to be specific because the weird shit isn’t happening to just one or two of y’all. We all are getting a taste of trials and tribulations.

Stay strong my brothers and sisters. Stay strong!
