How Old Were You in 1983?

Hey, good morning! How’s it going? Going good here. Hold on one second while I go get some coffee and put some pants on.

The dark, sticky stew I made last night was delicious. I realized that I don’t know much about cooking. Luckily K was there to help me. I found it hard to multitask. Having one thing simmering while cutting up something else and letting stuff brown over here was almost too much for me. I’m more of a one step at a time guy. Every time I try to get in the kitchen and cook with K’s help I have fun. I should do it more often. Martin and Lianne helped us eat it. The stew was VERY filling. We stuffed ourselves.

My fascination with the lead singer of Coldplay, Chris Martin continues. I was curious about his age yesterday and after doing 10 seconds of searching I found that he was born in 1977. REM’s first album “Murmur” was released in 1983. Chris was 6 years old at the time. I was 11. Michael Stipe was born in 1960. He was 23 when his first album came out. So according to these figures, Chris Martin saying that he grew up listening to REM works. I don’t know why that didn’t sound reasonable to me. I don’t think I have a realistic view of time. My first experiences with REM came with their album “Green” in 1988. I remember liking the song “Stand”. In 1988 I was 16. I remember 1987 being a really good year. Chris Martin is married to Gwyneth Paltrow who was born in 1972, four months before me.

Today is Sunday and I have a few things to do but not too much. I have to go and print out the covers I made for the wedding DVD. I want to get the covers printed and the DVDs labeled so that I can put them all in the mail tomorrow.
